There are several strange things about the site and because it’s registered under a proxy, there’s no telling where they are or what they are about. Even buying seeds from this place is weird. They bill themselves as SoCal, but one must buy their seeds through Europe and I’ve no idea where the seeds are shipped from. They have no helpful information and clearly state that you are on your own.

My grandson brought us a pamphlet from a place called SoCal Seed Co.

We like to support local business and don’t order seeds from overseas or out of state. We like to keep it legal. *Sigh* Oh well, I can get seeds locally, I just wanted to give some of their strains a try.

I’ve no absolute idea about where the future will take us as a result of WA and CO elections, but I can predict that it will become even more important to review laws by county and city rather than state by state as voters and city council members argue for and against and occasionally merely go bananas without regard.
Far as I’m concerned, I’m a hobbyist (which falls under not-for-profit reporting) or a farmer, which is a whole other reporting form with it’s own system. Either way, income, if any, will be reported. None so far, so no worries. It will take quite a while for the investment value to surpass the amounts that would have been spent at the dispensary, and I’m waiting a while before donating to dispensaries.
But if they are real and are using Europe to “hide” what they re doing they better be carful if uncle sam finds out they will certainly go to jail for Tax Evasion
In regards to SoCal Seeds. I have just as good of an idea as you do, but from my understanding of what I’ve read on them I haven’t found enough reliable recommendations on other sites as to their services so either they’re new, not often looked at, or scammers. So personally I’d be very weary. If you still wish to test them out try to buy one of their cheapest strains to see if you can get it and to measure how well it grows. If it works out, then you can tell their ability as breeders by their cheapest strain because it can allow you to gauge their ability as breeders and as a company for a low cost. Worse case scenario you waste between $30-$100 and we get a new review on a seed company that’s not usually covered, but only do something like this if you can afford it and if you’re willing to spend the time on it. Otherwise I’d take a pass if I were you.

US residents can do biz anywhere so long as they pay their US taxes. IRS doesn’t really care what you’re doing so long as you pay your taxes. Yep, it’s true. Uh. sort of.

The pamphlet is beautiful, albeit I have no way of knowing for certain if the pix actually go with the strain names, but that’s okay because the site has a terrific genes page: home page/strains. The page does not have a link back.
