Fun weed smoking games

This one is not recommended for the occasional toker, please abide.
Pro Tip: Roll your joints before the movie starts! You’ll quickly notice that despite how many times you’ve seen this movie the joints will sneak up on you. This is how it goes:

Basically, this game turns you and your friends into black-market weed dealers. As it says on the box, “The object of Grass is to be the first player to make $250,000 by hustling weed (and not your garden variety either). Try to stop your opponents by putting the heat on their drug peddling by using the Detained, Search and Seizure cards, or steal from your opponent’s stash, but be careful as others will try to get at your stash as well. Try to remain calm and avoid the Paranoia cards, which’ll forfeit your turn.”
I play elevated Jenga. It’s with big blocks that have things written on them like

  • Organize into teams of two
  • Choose a deck. A few examples of decks are celebrities, movies, animals, accents, characters, and more
  • Read the deck description and tap Play
  • Put the back of the phone against your forehead. Your team gives you clues to help you guess what the screen says
  • Tilt the phone down if your team guesses the word or phrase correctly
  • Tilt the phone up if you can’t guess the word
  • Every time “The Dude” says the word, “man” everyone has to take a hit of their piece.
  • Every time “The Dude” lights up a joint or is smoking a joint the whole group must join him. (don’t forget to listen for the term “man” doing rotation!)

The lighter game is always a fun one! The way you play is similar to hacky-sack. You take a lighter and balance it on the top of your hand, laying over the tops of your fingers. You then toss the lighter over to your buddy, who has to catch the lighter on the top of their fingers. You toss back and forth and get some good laughs out of the experience. It also helps with hand-eye coordination. If you’re feeling competitive, you can move farther apart with each successful toss.
If you’re playing doubles, this means that both players must take nine dabs by the end of a round of 18 baskets. The official Discs-n-Dabs tournament is played as a Triples Tournament, allowing players to take six dabs per person per round, rather than nine.
This is a vintage card game that first came out way back in 1979 (when people used to actually call weed “grass”). I found mine at It’s Your Move, a specialty game store here in Denver, but you can find this champion of weed games on Amazon as well.

Honestly, it’s hard to compare weed games to drinking games because the goals are different. With drinking games, the point is to drink until you’re sloppy. With weed games, the goal is to enjoy the experience a little more. That’s why most of our top picks for “weed games” are actually just variations of regular games that are fun to play whether psychoactive plants are invited to the party or not.

Move over, drinking games. Weed games are on the rise. We polled the playful team at My 420 Tours to get a full circle of opinions on the best weed games out there. Here’s what we came up with.

Fun weed smoking games

This idea fit the general “be drunk” theme of the party. But for my money, I’d have rather played a weed smoking game.

The problem was: I didn’t know any good smoking games. The ones I did know called for a LOT of smoking, and most of the people we were with would have had a lot of trouble keeping up. And those that could keep up had already made it clear they didn’t want to get too high.
This one is easy to play and tough to win. After everyone is nice and toasted, the game begins. If you smile you lose and have to take a hit.

  • Pick a game that works for everyone

Here are a few of my favorites:
This game takes a little more prep work, but it’s a guaranteed good time whether you’ve got a full house or you’re one of the last ones at the party.

  1. Get everyone to sit in a circle (or a vague, circle-like amoeba).
  2. Pick a category and a letter. For example, “Movies that start with ‘w’.”
  3. The first person to miss takes a hit.
  4. The second person to miss takes two hits.
  5. After two misses, the next person in the circle picks a category and letter.
  1. Arrange the group in a circle and make sure everyone has their own joint (or bowl or bong).
  2. Everyone starts by staring down at their feet.
  3. On the count of 3, everyone looks up and stares at another player.
  4. If two players look at each other, both take a hit.

With several pitchers of Ron Ron Juice ready—a very strong mixed drink that tastes like a delicious fruit smoothie—my roommate suggested we play some drinking games.

Why aren’t we all playing more weed games at parties? I compiled a list of some of the most popular and easy-to-play marijuana smoking games. (Karing Kind | Boulder, CO)
